Project 365, Week 16

A wonderful week!!  We got Shaun back!!!  Tax season officially ended and we all rejoiced...and then hopped in the car for a family vacation.   Its been a really, really great time away and being together.

On Sunday, Shaun's birthday, he only ended up working until noon, so he came home and worked on his truck...he needed to get it running so we could pick up the bunk beds.  Z wanted to help so Shaun found some things for him to do.

Much later, we went out to dinner as a family.  Amanda was sure to tell the waitress it was her daddy's birthday so he got the full treatment.  I went to get the kids settled in for bed and found Avery and Z reading their bibles together...gotta love that!

It's no small thing getting six people ready for a trip, so I started picking at it early.  Aiden came down and told me, I'm weddy, Momma!  This boy is just about cuter than I can stand right now.
April 17
I had promised the girls we could get pedicures before our trip...they didn't get the full spa treatment, but were delighted with the results.  It was my first time getting a pedicure...I guess I'm too impatient (and cheap) of a person to be able to really enjoy such things.

After leaving the house at 4:30 AM, the kids were thrilled when we arrived at our hotel that evening and got the long awaited swim....

...and no matter the rain!
April 19
We arrived in Florida about 3:30 the next day.  After hellos and hugs for Nana, they were changed and off to the pool, this time no rain AND the water was heated.
April 20
A beautiful, sunny day...perfect place for kids and adults alike.

We welcomed more people to the group that was gathering and enjoyed a chill day.  Although cousin Alayna is good at playing independently, she was reveling in the undivided attention from her big cousins.

Praying you have a blessed week, filled with a knowing, at least in part, of how much God loves you....you are His treasure and precious creation!
