Aiden Turns 6

On July 13 my sweetest boy turned SIX! It was a hard day for me because I was in a hospital room in NYC and he was in CT. I just wanted to be with him.

A sweet friend sent me a note relaying her own personal experience of when she was young and her mom was very sick. She said she didn't remember any of the hard or the stress or feeling scared or neglected, she just remembered things being different. She said she and her siblings were loved well by the people caring for them during that storm in her family's life and they were resilient, confident in their parents love.

I'm believing that for my children and I'm thankful that we have lots of people wholove our kids well. So many people have touched their lives through all of this.

When Aiden's birthday arrived and she found herself with my three, my sister didn't even hesitate....she made a scavenger hunt from scratch and did balloons and cake and CEC...all the things that speak "birthday" to a six year-old and beyond what he'd requested.

She even took pictures so the day was not completely lost for me....

Later, Shaun picked the kids up and they watched a Star Wars movie before going to the first night of Mega Sports Camp VBS.

Even though I had to miss out, I'm so thankful there were people to step in at a moment's notice to make Aiden's birthday special and remarkable.

Can't wait to see what God has for him this year!
