Project 365, Week 32

I can't even explain how amazing it is to look back on a week filled with a bunch of every day life. It felt like we had more highs than lows and we did a whole bunch of normal-people stuff. What a blessing! As a bonus, the weather has been divine.

My goal to drag out my good camera this week was accomplished! It may not seem like a big deal to most, but it is a sign of a healthy me if 1.) I'm out of the hospital and have access to something other than my cell phone and 2.) I'm feeling well enough to be up and around where life is happening. The photos produced are a small thing perhaps, but I'm giving thanks!

One of Aiden's daily chores is to unload the silverware from the dishwasher. He's very particular about everything going in the correct place and he also pretends he's wielding swords when he does the knives.

It was a beautiful morning to sit out on the patio and enjoy brunch at Shaun's brother's house. Nana and her latest great-grand were spending time together.

Hours a day go into lego creations around here.

August 4
Shaun and I had some time to kill in the city between doctors appointments so we hung out at this park next to the hospital. Such a pretty day!

AND....I came home that very same day to the little faces I love.

August 5
Afternoon ice cream cones were the thing for these three this week.

August 6
Aiden can play for hours all by himself.

That being said, we did play Battleship for the first time. Its always good to be prepared with a quiver full of arrows, just in case.

August 7
A day of sports! I was the only one who didn't wear a uniform...love that everyone is active and healthy!

Last day of M-F, 9-3 soccer camp for the girls. I don't know what soccer skills they learned, but based on some of our conversations throughout the week, I think some character was built and that is worth the price of admission.

Cuteness! Dressed in his baseball uniform to go to softball practice with Daddy. He gets to be catcher. :)

R's girlfriend sent me this sweet picture....these two generally get along quite well.

R sent me this picture during his break at work. I love that my kids see a beautiful sunset and know how much I delight in such things. I always say, The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the works of his hands.

  3. Love the little sword fighter - maybe if I did that I'd enjoy putting away the dishes a little more :)

So glad you had a nice normal week at home!
