Our First Graduate

They did a sweet little ceremony at church for all the kindergarteners who were moving up to 1-6 Grade room.  They invited the parents and tried to make it special for the kids.

We got a rough start to the evening when Avery's fingers got shut in a very heavy door on the hinge side.  As soon as Daddy joined us after putting Aiden in the nursery he scooped her up and tried to make it better.

After a little bit she put on a brave face and joined the group for a time of praise and singing.

It was so sweet to watch Amanda worship singing I Love You Lord.  During their time of sharing Amanda walked over to her teacher and whispered something.  When she was (finally) finished, her teacher said, "Oh, your parents did?".  I couldn't even imagine what sacred family secret had just been shared.  :)  Thankfully, she only told her that we had just celebrated an anniversary.  Phew!
 Avery received a participation certificate

Sweet girls...they are back to being in separate classrooms now.   Avery will be with the big kids...wow.
Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.
Proverbs 22:6

How precious to see them praise their Lord with such joyful hearts. You gotta love the faith of a child.

And her little fingers I hope are better.
