Someone asked me about Aiden's birthday yesterday and it got me feeling bad that I never posted about his celebration. You see, I'm a little embarrassed by what it ended up being, but even if I'd worked and stressed to plan the "perfect" party, he could not have been happier. Actually, that goes for all four of the other members of my family. Just me who feels the need to complicate things (and stay far away from CEC!).
On his actual birthday Shaun and I were at Block Island but he got phone calls from family, a video emailed from us and he got to see both his Grandmas. My mom took the girls to buy balloons to make it more festive.
The next day the five of us went out.
Yup...CEC.
Later, we went to Dunkin Donuts so he could open a couple presents that Nana had left when she was here in June.
And a donut for his two candles. Hey...how many two year olds do you know that are blowing out candles at the coffee shop at 10:30 at night? It was actually a really fun family night and the girls delighted in celebrating him.
Memories are memories in my book! And the fact that all 5 of you were together = priceless! Love the B&W of him in the tunnel.
ReplyDeletethat is precious...and it looks to me like everyone is having a blast!
