This little guy? He's just about cuter right now than I can stand. Two is a golden age to me and I'm soaking it all in.
He spends most of his time grinning and talking. And playing David and Goliath. One day this week he was sitting in his highchair playing Good Friday, I guess you would call it?? telling the story and acting it out with the cross he had made in Sunday school. After a while, I slowly and teasingly approached him as if I was going to tickle him. Quickly, the cross turned into a gun and he was shooting me. Boys! The was his fishing pole for the day...a tape measure hanging from a drum stick.
Here he is fighting the Philistines....such a funny word to hear out of his mouth. Its hilarious to hear him tell the whole story. Its his own combination of the scene from Passion of the King and the bible stories that we read.
He was very quiet and then out of the blue, Momma, I'm done watching Goliath...can I watch baby Jesus now?
Thirty minutes later he came in to tell me he had to go potty. I took him, but then he said, No Mommy, poopies. Oh great. Turned out to be a good thing...by the time I was out of the bathroom, the couple had gone over the pricing and had made the decision to go with me. Ah...the glamorous life of a work-at-home mom!
But really, this face. And the backwards fireman hat. Too much. I'm so very grateful that he's in our family. He is nothing but a joy and its such a gift to the recipient of that big, toothy grin all day long.
And...these are not from this week, but many of you commented on the Aiden the Ballerina picture, so I thought I'd add a few more. Normally Aiden wants nothing to do with "girls clothes" (he only likes makeup), but apparently Amanda told him that he would be like a horse if he let her dress him up in the tutu.
So he went to him and kissed him. When Isaac caught the smell of his clothes, he blessed him and said, “Ah, the smell of my son is like the smell of a field that the LORD has blessed.
Genesis 27:27
Sounds like quite the character! I don't know about you, but having little boys to love and raise has made me love my husband even more. It's like I can picture my husband as a little guy and it just warms my heart. Boys and girls are so different and such a joy each in their own ways.
ReplyDeleteHe melts me every time!
ReplyDeleteLove Aiden in the tutu... I have plenty of those same photos of Noah! Life with girls!!! :)
