My Little Carnation

Yesterday was Avery's spring dance performance.  I was an oh so proud momma sitting in my seat watching her.  She is so graceful and beautiful and confident and she loved being a part of all the performance happenings.

Here's my dancer in Carnation Pink.

 A solo leap!

I was the only one who went because the tickets were outrageously priced and we could not justify having our whole family there for her 1.5 minutes on stage.  Thankfully Shaun and the kids were able to go to a stage rehearsal so they didn't miss out entirely.  Thinking of different options for next year....

Then Miriam the prophetess, the sister of Aaron, took a timbrel in her hand, and all the women went out after her with timbrels and dancing.

  2. so sweet!!!

I know what you mean about the prices. When Jared was in the LR youth symphony the tickets were sometimes $20 a piece. It was hard to justify dropping $100 for all of us to go hear him. Many of us moms complained last year and they dropped the price this year to $10!!!

  3. Yeah, the tickets were $25 a piece, so for the 5 of us, plus tuition, costumes, etc....not gonna happen. I should say something...maybe others have also.

  4. That is a crazy price! I think we paid less than that to see a friend's teenage daughter in the Nutcracker last December.

But she is a terribly cute carnation - and I love her little satisfied look in that shot of her kneeling :)
