31 Ways to Live in Peace, Day 1

First, thank you Ladies for your supportive and enthusiastic comments!  I feel like I am "putting myself out there" big time, and self-doubt and fear have tried to creep in leading up to this.  Your expressed thoughts were very helpful.

Guard Your Heart

Guard your heart above all else, for it determines the course of your life. Proverbs 4:23

The little song I sing with the 2 & 3 year-old class comes to mind.  Oh, be careful little eyes what you see...oh, be careful little ears what you hear...

As adults, we are the ones who determine what goes in.  It sounds child-like, but its so important.  I have always been very selective about the movies I watch and I think that is a big reason I can be home, alone at night without a worry...whether Shaun is home or not home has no bearing on how well I sleep.  I'm not afraid to walk away from a conversation that's disturbing and I'm choosy about the books I read and the music I listen to.

The small choices we make about what goes in can yield big results for the peace in our hearts.

Simple?  Yes, it just takes a little discernment and lots of little right choices that help determine the course of our lives.
