31 Ways to Live in Peace, Day 18

Don't Get a (Labrador) Puppy

Having gone through this twice now, I can say with confidence, having a puppy WILL steal your peace.  In every way they disrupt and demand.  Puppy + small children =  lots of shrieking, torn clothes, face plants, stolen food.

There.  Let it never be said I didn't warn you.  :)

  1. LOL! I can relate. I can laugh now but was NOT laughing when Eric brought home Macaveli when Parker was 3 weeks old. That pic is breathtaking...where it that located?

  2. LOL - every time Mike & I start getting misty eyed about getting a dog we take just a moment to consider what that would actually be like. Same thing with having children too (although neither of us ever really got misty eyed about the idea of having kids).

  3. lol..equally as bad...small, yippy, jumpy dogs at any age...but at least they can't reach stuff.

  4. I remember Mac's arrival well. :). That's Case Mountain in Manchester. The waterfall is at the base and its an easy 1.5? Mile hike to the top overlooking the Hartford skyline.

  5. LOL!!!

I gotta say, we got a small Chihuahua puppy, and she really hasn't been much trouble (thank goodness!!). Plus, she's so sweet when she curls up next to me when I read my Bible. Therefore...I may disagree with your statement, lol. ;)

*However, when the pup takes a dump on the floor and then you step on it...voice of experience, here, yes, your peace is DEFINITELY gone then!

  6. Haha! This is exactly why we don't have pets (beside the fact that my allergies are TERRIBLE). :)
